155yo+ LITHOGRAPH PRINT OF VARIOUS VARMINTS 1868

$65.00

Large partially colored lithograph print of various varmints scurrying about. From 'Naturgeschichte des Tierreichs' ('Natural History of the Animal Kingdom'), first published by Emil Hanselmann's Verlag, Stuttgart/Germany, 1868 (this picture is from either the '68 or '69 edition). Main header on the page reads: 'Säugetiere' or 'Mammals'.

The lower legend reads: Eichhoernchen/Squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris), Fliegendes Eichhorn/Flying Squirrel (Pteromys volans), Siebenschlaefer/Dormouse (Myoxus glis), Murmelthier/Groundhog (Arctomys marmota), Hausratte/Black Rat (Mus rattus), Hausmaus/House Mouse (Mus musculus), Lemming/Lemming (Lemus norvegicus), Hamster/Hamster (Cricetus frumentarius), Meerschweinchen/Guinea-pig (Cavia cobaya), Biber/Beaver (Castor fiber).

Has a couple small tears (with modernish repairs) doesn't effect image quality, barely noticeable.

Ships as is (rolled in a tube), however I can frame this upon request for an extra cost + additional shipping fees.
